ASHLAND (FOX 42) – Andy Harpenau of Gretna Sanitation has revised his plans to expand the yard waste composite site near Ashland. He originally wanted to expand it to 20 acres from five, but after listening to people who live in the area he will only keep it at five acres. He has offered a one-year testing period during which time he hopes to start composting food waste as well.

The owner, Merry Johnson blames the new development at the by the Mutual of Omaha Plaza.
