OMAHA (KPTM) - Anyone going to the Douglas County H1N1 flu vaccine clinic on Thursday at the United Methodist Church at 69th and Cass will find road restrictions that day.
The Omaha Public Works Department says the main entrance for flu shots will be on 69th Street north of Cass. You must come from the south, as 69th will be closed to southbound traffic at Burt Street.
72nd Street traffic should turn east onto Cass Street then north on 69th Street. Parking will be available at the site, as well as Temple of Israel, The Community Playhouse, and Lewis and Clark School. Due to the heavy congestion expected, please avoid unnecessary travel in this area.
To qualify for the free H1N1 vaccinations, the following requirements have been established by the Center for Disease Control and will only be given to:
- 1. Pregnant women
- 2. Children from 6 months through 24 years of age
- 3. People who live with, or care for, children younger than 6 months of age
