OMAHA (KPTM)- The man police say is responsible for causing a crash that killed two Omaha men is back in the hospital.
Victor Rodriguez was supposed to appear in front of a judge this morning but instead was taken to the hospital to be treated for frost bite.
Though he was not there a judge set his bail at two million dollars. Rodriguez was one of five people injured in a crash near 42nd and H Sunday night. Two people, Manuel Santos-Gomez and Danny Alcantara were killed. Police say Rodriguez had been drinking but tested below the legal limit. He is charged with two counts of Manslaughter and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. He is scheduled to be back in court Friday morning.
One of the crash victims, 22 year old Danny Alcantara will be laid to rest Thursday afternoon at 1:00 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
Family members we talked to say Danny always had a smile on his face and was very loving and dependable. He worked a nursing home in Millard.
