OMAHA (KPTM)- Omaha Police were called to the scene of a shooting outside of a Southwest Omaha business Wednesday morning.
Emergency broadcasts indicated that a man was shot in the head near 114th and Center outside of Shell Rapid Lube, just after 11am.
The victim, Milton Jackson, was taken to Creighton University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The wife of the general manager, Michelle Luschen tells us the victim had worked there for over 10 years. The location has seen minor break-ins in the past, but when no one was working.
Police are still investigating if this was a burglary attempt.
Police blocked off traffic as they searched for a suspect that may have been driving off in a red or burgundy car with Iowa plates.
Roads have re-opened, and police are still searching actively for the vehicle and suspect.
