Omaha - A former Omaha church school teacher convicted of having sex with a teenage student could serve up to 8 years in prison.

Brandy Reynolds was sentenced Monday morning to 4-8 years for attempted first degree sexual assault. She could have been sentenced to 20 years for the charge.

Reynolds was accused of having a sexual relationship with a student for a year and a half.  He was a student at the Omaha Baptist Academy where Reynolds was a teacher.

Police say it happened several times between December, 2004 to May, 2006.
