Taylor Wilson - Main Anchor

Taylor has now been at KPTM for ten years, anchoring the KPTM Fox 42 News at 9:00 since his arrival in 1999.

His career has included stops in both the UFO capital of the world, Roswell, NM, and Topeka, KS. During that time he covered NCAA basketball tournaments, college bowl games and pro sports teams including the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.  While in Kansas, he interviewed sports figures like future NBA star Paul Pierce and former NBA legend Michael Jordan. In Omaha, he has been privileged enough to cross paths with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Julie Andrews, Robert Redford and former White House press secretary Tony Snow.

Taylor also heads up KPTM's Heartland Proud franchise. The stories turn the spotlight on local people making a difference, unsung heroes and people quietly achieving greatness. You can see those stories every Monday at 9:00 and again the following Sunday at 9:00. The stories are the only locally produced news content airing in high definition.

He has also won several awards during his career, including numerous honors from the Associated Press and Omaha Press Club. He recently took home five awards from the AP for his Heartland Proud stories, including a clean sweep - 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, in the feature category. Taylor also won an Edward R. Murrow award for a documentary on 150 years of Omaha history, and traveled to Dallas to accept an award from the American Cancer Society for a story he did on a revolutionary liver cancer treatment.

He is actively involved in several local groups, including the local ALS chapter, ALS in the Heartland.

When he's not at work, Taylor and his wife are the proud parents of two little girls, Bailey and Brielle.
