Oakland, IA-(KPTM) Pottawattamie County deputies are working to identify a man killed Tuesday evening on Highway 59 south of Oakland Iowa. Deputies say the driver of a northbound vehicle was unable to stop after a man stumbled and fell into the roadway.
The driver called 911 and the Liftnet Helicopter was sent to transport the victim but he was pronounced dead before the helicopter landed. The man didn't have any identification on him at the time of the accident. The driver of the vehicle will not be ticketed.
