
OMAHA (KPTM)- The U.S. Geological Survey confirms that an earthquake measuring 3.5 was felt just north of Auburn, Nebraska.
Nemaha county sheriff's deputies say an earthquake shook parts of the region including Techumseh, Auburn and Nebraska City. The United States Geological Survey confirmed that the earthquake registered a 3.5 on the richter scale.
So far there are no reports of injuries or damage.
Witnesses who called Fox 42 say they heard a loud boom and felt some shaking that lasted about three to five seconds. One viewer emailed, "Was there an earthquake reported in the area tonight? Our house in Peru, NE rumbled just before 9:00 pm. This has happened before, but this one was more intense than before," Mark Matthews.
