OMAHA (KPTM) - The Sarpy County Sheriff's Office Fraternal Order of Police held a fundraiser on Sunday to support the families of two of its members.
Proceeds from the spaghetti feed, and silent auction went to the families of Deputy Ryan Fawcett and the late Deputy Dave McAnulty.
Fawcett, a 7-year veteran, suffers from an inoperable brain tumor, and McAnulty, a 28-year veteran of the force, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in December, 2011.
All profits went to the Fawcett and McAnulty families.
"I don't know how I'll ever thank everyone," said Fawcett as he looked around the packed banquet hall. "It's just overwhelming," he said.
The fundraiser was held on Sunday at the Belvedere Hall in Papillion from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM.
Those who could not attend the fundraiser are able to donate by contacting the Omaha Police Federal Credit Union (OPFCU). Donations can be mailed to the OPFCU at 10791 S. 72nd Street with checks made in care of Dave McAnulty or Ryan Fawcett.
