Metro Area Lakes Open for Fishing

OMAHA (KPTM)- Summer is officially underway as 2 metro-area lakes opened up this weekend.

Zorinsky Lake near 168th and Center kicked is finally under water after being drained over a year ago because of a zebra mussel.

People who went to the kick off celebration said they're happy to see the lake back to normal.

 Lake Wanahoo in Wahoo, Nebraska also opened up this weekend.  The lake is one of the largest man-made lakes in Nebraska.

The lake is 662 acres and also has a four-mile bike trail around it.
