OMAHA (KPTM)- Even though it wasn't what players were expecting for opening ceremonies, a small event was held for the teams Thursday night.
All eight teams gathered at the Omaha civic center for a barbeque, team introductions and live music.
The public was night invited to come out.
However fans did get a chance to soak up the sun at Fan Fest. There were plenty of sports games and vendors.
Fans could even watch their favorite teams practice and get autographs from players.
On Saturday fans will be treated to a special guest appearance from Barry Larkin. Larkin will be at the Capital One Fan Zone.
Fan Fest will run from 1-8pm through Monday, 4:30-7:30pm Tuesday and Wednesday and 1-8pm next Thursday and Friday.
