Omaha (KPTM)- Omaha's annual Jazz and Blues Festival has been canceled this year.
The event attracts some of the biggest known jazz names from around the nation.
Last year, the festival was moved from the Missouri river to the Orpheum Theater because of flooding. That move cost the festival thousands of dollars.
Event organizer Tim Clark says four thousand fewer people attended last year's festival.
"With low attendance, we just didn't hit the numbers," said Clark.
Organizers say if they raise $150,000 they will try to put the festival on this year.
They have started a focus group to try and get the festival back in future years.
