YUTAN (KPTM)- Over a dozen Korean War Veterans received a long-awaited 'Thank You' Sunday.
Veterans were presented with a medal from Korean representatives. Leroy Graves traveled from Valentine Neb. to Yutan. "It's wonderful. I drove all this way to get it."
Graves and the other veterans said they feel great getting a medal. "We saved their country from going to, being communist," said one veteran, Jesse Brown.
"We saved South Korea though, didn't we?" said Graves. "(How does that feel?) Good."
The ceremony lasted a little over an hour, but for many veterans, it was a long time coming.
