OMAHA(KPTM)-- It was a busy weekend all over the metro for the police department.

Five people were shot in a day and a half starting in the early morning hours Saturday.

One woman died from her wounds, the others did survive.

Stephanie N. Mason-Brown was pronounced dead just after arriving at the hospital by ambulance. Police had been called to a house near Florence Blvd and Sprague St. around 10 p.m.

One man told police he was driving near 42nd and Erskine Streets when two men walked in front of his car and shot him. He was able to drive himself to the hospital.

Another  man was shot near 21st and Pinkney streets just after 1 in the afternoon.

Police had been called to the neighborhood with reports of gunshots and found out from neighbors the man walked himself to the hospital.

When officers spoke with him there, he refused to provide details about the shooting or his attackers.

Later on in the evening, just before bars closed for the night shots rang out at Louis Grill and Bar near 57th and NW Radial Hwy.

Witnesses said two cars rolled into the parking lot and opened fire on each other. Several cars were hit by bullets and a crowd of people were standing just feet away.

Two men were left in the parking lot with bullet wounds. One man was shot in the back and taken to the hospital in critical condition. The other victim was sent to the hospital in serious condition.

There were also two stabbings in two different parts of town:

One man said he was stabbed during an argument outside of a downtown bar.

The other man said he was walking near 36th and Polk Streets just before sunrise when three men attacked him with a knife. He only suffered minor cuts, but police say the assault was so bad, his lung collapsed.
