OMAHA (KPTM) - The Nebraska Cornhusker football team will buck decades of tradition for at least one game.
Husker tradionalists are worried about the change. They tell Fox 42 they are worried this will become the new trend.
While other fans, like Todd Kontt, tell Fox 42 this is a good shift for the image of Husker football.
"They don't get very radical with their uniforms so I think these new changes are going to be an interesting look," he said, "When they initially come out on the field it is going to be a shock factor to some of the traditionalists. I think at the same time the novelty will probably wear off and it will just get down to the ball game."
The Big Red and Adidas unveiled an alternate uniform Friday players will wear for the September 29th Wisconsin game.
The jersey's can be purchased at Husker Hounds at the end of August.
