OMAHA (KPTM)- A rock-n-roll music camp is striking the right chord with girls.

"I thought it'd be really cool to go to a rock camp for just girls," said Edith Hickman.

Hickman is one of over forty girls attending "Omaha Girls Rock Camp."

Throughout the week, girls learn instruments, writing songs, and perform for an audience.

"The amount of confidence that it builds in the girls-its outstanding," said camp director, Stefanie Drootin-Senseney.

"I'm not really nervous though, I was last ear, now I'm really excited," said Edith.

The camp runs through the end of the week, but Drootin-Senseny said she's already warming up for next year.
