OMAHA (KPTM) – A drive-by shooting in north Omaha leaves a man seriously hurt and police frustrated because witnesses are not speaking up.

They said 29-year-old Morea Harrington was standing near 44th and Pinkney Street Friday afternoon when someone pulled up in a car and fired shots.

Police haven't been able to find that car or the shooter. They said solving these kinds of crimes is difficult when witnesses do not cooperate.

"Whether it'd be texting or through the website or through the phone calls. These truly are anonymous sources of information to give to us that we can use to help solve crimes," said Omaha Police Lieutenant Michael McGee.

Police said Harrington was taken to University of Nebraska Medical Center with serious, injuries, but is expected to recover.

Anyone with information is asked to call Omaha Crime Stoppers.
