OMAHA (KPTM) – Police are looking into three shootings – two on Sunday and one on Saturday.
A ShotSpotter near 29th and Ellison Avenue detected shots being fired early Sunday morning. However, police said when they checked on that, they couldn't find anyone.
A short time later they said a man showed up at Creighton Medical Center with a gunshot wound.
The man said someone in a car shot him near 27th and Fort Street.
While police wait for witnesses to come forward, one neighbor, Naomi Chasse said she's frustrated with police response.
"They want us to open up and give information, but when something happens they take forever to get here or they ask us questions like we're supposed to go out and police the area. That's not my job," said Chasse who heard the shots from her house.
About an hour after this shooting, police responded to 16th and Laird Street and found someone wounded and lying in the street.
The man said he was also shot by someone driving by in a car. Police said the man went to the hospital and doctors expect him to be okay.
And Saturday a woman was shot near 16th and Willis Avenue. Police said she was hit near a house in the morning.
While she went to the hospital in critical condition, doctors said she will most likely recover.
