COUNCIL BLUFFS (KPTM)- More than two months after a driver hit two women and a man on a sidewalk, police have arrested the woman they think is responsible.

Police arrested 27-Year-Old Jennifer Hintz outside of T. Henry's bar in Omaha over the weekend. Police say she hit the three people outside of Goofy's Bar in Council Bluffs near the end of June.

One of the victims, Misty Rocha, told FOX 42 that she tracked down Hintz over the weekend, found her at the bar, and called police to tell them where she was. Hintz was arrested on her birthday.

Misty Rocha and Shannon Miller were seriously hurt by the accident, and are both still recovering. The man was not seriously hurt.

Police say that Hintz hit the women and man with her car after leaving the bar that night. They cannot prove if she was drinking.

Police interviewed her the day after the accident but say they did not have enough evidence to arrest her. Witness information over the last few months led to the issue of an arrest warrant for Hintz.

Hintz was arrested in Douglas County, but transferred to Sarpy County to take care of a failure to register ticket she had not paid. She will then be booked in Pottawattamie County to face charges of serious injury by motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving a vehicle with no insurance.

Rocha was not available for an on camera interview Tuesday, but did give a statement. In it, she said, "I have injuries that will be with me the rest of my life because of her. It was my friends and I that tracked her down at the bar and had the police arrest her. I have some peace now but I will feel complete peace when I sit in the courtroom and see her sentenced."

Police say Hintz will most likely face her charges in Pottawattamie County by the end of the week.
