Man Killed in Early Morning Crash Near Gretna

GRETNA (KPTM) - One man is dead and a woman injured after a rollover crash near Gretna early Sunday morning.

The Sarpy County Sheriff's Department says the crash happened at about 3:55am. A black Buick was going east on Hwy 31  near 198th Street south of Gretna when it rolled.

The department says the man driving the car drove briefly on the shoulder and tried to correct the car, causing it to flipped.

The man was thrown from the car and died at the scene. A woman who was riding with him was able to get out of the car and go to a nearby house to get help.

She went to the hospital with minor injuries.

No names have been released, and the accident is still under investigation.
