OMAHA(KPTM)-- Several classrooms and hallways in Hillside Elementary were without air Tuesday after vandals damaged three air conditioners beyond repair overnight.
School Officials believe the attack came around midnight.
Staff arrived on Hillside's grounds Tuesday morning to find one air conditioner smashed on the ground and two other rooftop units knocked off their bases. One was dangling from the roof and leaking refrigerant.
A classroom window and several lights were also damaged.
Officials are estimating it could cost upwards of $10,000 to replace and repair all the damage.
Police are looking for any information that could help with the investigation. If you know anything call investigators at 402-444-5652.
