Family of Missing California Man Searching in Omaha

Posted: Updated:

OMAHA (KPTM)- Family members of a missing California man are in Omaha trying to get the community to help them find him.

69-year-old Charles Dowd left California last Wednesday. Family hasn't heard from him since Thursday and says he may have dementia and doesn't have his medication. They say he was heading to Quebec on an Amtrak train. He was supposed to make a stop in Chicago but never made it. However his  cell phone and medication did arrive in Chicago.

Dowd's family thinks he may have gotten confused and may be stranded in Omaha. They along with volunteers were looking around the Amtrak station Monday for answers. They will be in Lincoln tomorrow.

If anyone has any information you're asked to call Amtrak Police at 800-331-0008. Case # 12-010695. Or call his family at 650-766-6470 or 650-766-6570.
