Heather Wandell releases study on similarity of human and primate behavior

Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) October 12, 2012

Monkeys and humans are more alike than you might think. In fact, some primates, such as the rhesus macaque monkey, share a sequenced genome that is 93 percent the same as humans.

Having observed thousands of hours of primate social behavior and human workplace conduct, author Heather Wandell agrees that there is a connection. From her years working at Frisky’s Wildlife and Primate Sanctuary in Woodstock, Maryland, Wandell explores this theory in her latest book, “Monkey Business: 37 Better Business Practices Learned Through Monkeys.”

Wandell believes that by observing the behaviors of primates, both human and nonhuman, we can learn new practices and habits that will enhance our human relationships.

““Monkey Business: 37 Better Business Practices Learned Through Monkeys” invites us to notice our social interactions, the way we treat each other and how we resolve conflict and offers another way to look at situations that may reduce suffering in our relationships,” Wandell says.
