
OMAHA (KPTM) - There is a heavy police presence on the scene of a house near 18th and Manderson where a body was found Friday afternoon.
Police say officers were called to investigate a person down at about 2:30. They asked about any shots fired called in the area, and were told by police dispatch that shotspotter picked up on shots fire Friday morning.
Police have not said if the person in the house had been shot.
Several city, state and community leaders including State Senator Brenda Council, City Councilman Ben Gray and his wife and Omaha Public School President Freddie Gray are at the scene.
