Stolen Car Leads to 50 Block Police Chase

OMAHA (KPTM)- At least three people were taken into custody  following a police chase that started near 52nd and Ames Radial Highway Tuesday afternoon.

One of the suspects was taken away in an ambulance.

The chase ended near 70th and Blondo by St. Pius X Catholic School. The school was put on lock down for 15 minutes.

One Teacher Aid told Fox 42 News the students didn't know if it was a drill or 

Police say the suspects were in a car that was stolen Monday morning. The driver crashed the car down a hill during the chase.

The car had been reported missing yesterday morning. Police records show the car belongs to Mark Ashby who lives near the area.

The report says his son, Jeffery Schoville stole the car and had a "black handgun in his waist band." Schoville has a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear in Douglas County.

Wednesday police said that Schoville was one of the people arrested.
