OMAHA (kptm) - A west Omaha orthodontics office is closed effective immediately and now patients are left scrambling to find a new doctor. 

Patient after patient after patient try the door, only to find it's locked permanently.  And a sign is the only notice they have that doctor Timothy Adams is not returning.  Patient Ashley Fechner says, "We didn't get any notice about it at all.  I was told to come here today and he's not here and he never gave us any warning about him closing or anything."

"That's not right, we should at least got a phone call or something, I mean we get phone calls when we don't pay on time and when we miss appointments," Parent Diane Rodriguez says.

A message on the office answering machine confirms Dr. Adams is not returning.  Clients wish he would have said something in advance.  Parent Shawn Kellis says, "At least communicate and let people know what's going on if your closing the doors, if your just going to take these people's money and leave at least tell them what's going on.  Don't just shut the doors and hide somewhere."

"I'm really shocked and actually kind of upset, almost want to cry, my daughter has braces on her teeth and I don't know at the moment who the heck to go to or where to go," Parent Gayle Tedesco says.

"He basically stole our money because he took money for services that he hasn't performed yet, so he's got our money and we've got no services that we were supposed to have," Kellis says.

"We already gave a big down payment and were making payments on the rest…I'm not gonna sit here and do nothing, I will do something about it that's for sure," Rodriguez says.

We tried contacting Dr. Adams but could not reach him.  Several other offices around town are accepting his patients.
