Council Bluffs, IA (KPTM) – Former President Bill Clinton visited Council Bluffs, Iowa Wednesday morning. His main mission was to get the people of Western Iowa to back President Barrack Obama's reelection.
"Obama's economic plan is better, his budget plan is better, his education plan is better, his healthcare plan is better," Clinton said.
Clinton told the crowd that Obama has cut the national debt by issuing tax cuts to the middle class and small businesses, giving money to state and local governments and investing in "a lasting economy by bringing back jobs."
"He's encouraging us to tell more people about Obama's work right before the elections," Clinton said.
Though, Former President Clinton did sway everyone in the crowd, David Overholzter, a Romney supporter says Clinton's presence is good news for Mitt Romney.
"I think he comes from a point of view of big government and that the solution lies in Washington and I don't believe that."
State officials are expecting a 71 percent turnout in next Tuesday's elections.
