INDIANAPOLIS, IN (KPTM) – Walk the streets of downtown Indianapolis and you would be hard pressed to find someone not wearing Husker or Badger apparel. Big Ten Football Fever is just around the corner.
Earlier in the week reports of poor tickets sales by the Huskers had some fans worried about Saturday's Big Ten Championship Game between Wisconsin and Nebraska.
"From the people we have seen out in the area and there is more Husker fans here than Wisconsin," Valerie Holmes said.
Her family came to Indianapolis to watch the Big Ten Championship game hoping the Huskers are able to walk away with a victory.
"It is the first Big Ten Championship game for the Huskers and we are going to win and we are going to be here to mark the first history of the game," she said.
Colton Silknitter said, "Its bigger, its better and everyone is looking forward to it not just one person, not just two people, not just the coaches, everyone."
You can catch the Big Ten Championship game Saturday Night at 7:00. The game is only on Fox 42.
Also be sure to tune into the Fox 42 News at Nine Sunday Night as Curt Casper will have a report from Indianapolis. He will take a look at what the game means for the future of Husker program; win or lose.
