Bellevue (KPTM) – Officer Justin Larson is Taylor Manhein's D.A.R.E teacher. On Monday night, the policeman helped Taylor pick out Christmas gifts at the Shopko.

"Hopefully it helps out there Christmas and makes it better at home," Ofc Larson said.

Taylor's family wouldn't be able to afford some of these toys. Shop with a Cop gives Taylor 100 dollars to shop for gifts. Dozens of officers help dozens of kids pick out Christmas gifts.

"As a family it helps us out a lot, everything that we are doing, trying to get a head, kind of fallen behind in times," said TJ Manhein.

But Taylor was only two dollars short of getting a video game, but Officer Larson paid for the difference.

"I'm a huge call of duty person, so when he said he wanted Call of Duty that was great," he said, "I really enjoy spending time with them too, I try to teach them to make good decisions and hopefully he will remember this, and continue to make good decisions."

Taylor thanked the officer and can't wait to see him teach D.A.R.E again.

Omaha Police Officer's will be hosting a Shop with a Cop on Tuesday.
