EVANSDALE, IA (KPTM)- Two Iowa cousins that went missing in Evansdale, Iowa in July have possibly been found dead.
Evansdale Police said around 12:45 Wednesday afternoon hunters found two bodies in a wooded area.
The bodies could be those of 11-year-old Lyric Cook and 9-year-old Elizabeth Collins.
The two went on a bike ride on July 13th and never made it home. Their bikes were found by Meyer's Lake in Evansdale. A few days after they disappeared, officials drained the lake. The FBI believed they were kidnapped.
Their families have been notified. The bodies have been taken to the State Medical Examiners Officers in Ankeny.
