LINCOLN (KPTM) - Officials say two people have died from the flu recently in Lancaster County.
The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department says an adult and child died. The department also says neither was immunized.
Flu cases have been well above average this year, and have struck earlier than usual.
The Douglas County Health Department tells FOX 42 News no deaths have been reported, but the county has had 515 cases reported.
Officials say that if you haven't already gotten a flu shot, you should get one as soon as possible.
Children under the age of 5 and adults 65 and older are at the most risk for complications.
