OMAHA (KPTM) – 381 members of the Christ the King Church in Omaha packed up their bags and loaded buses Tuesday night. The group will be headed to the March for Life in Washington D.C. on Friday.
The March for Life is a protest event against the Roe v. Wade ruling in 1973. The ruling gave woman the right to an abortion.
The group, including Kevin Engelkamp is pro-life.
"Pro-lifers are proud to be pro-life and we keep growing every year," he said.
March organizers say they are expecting hundreds of thousands for this year's event. It has been 40 years since the ruling and Christian leaders tell Fox 42 it makes it even more important this year to march.
"It just means a lot that all these kids are fired up and they all want to come," Event organizer Elizabeth Murphy said.
The group will be arriving in Washington D.C. on Thursday. The March for Life is set for Friday on Capitol Hill.
