OMAHA (kptm) - A trailer stolen from a church parking lot leaves a Boy Scout troop without camping gear for the summer.  The Scout Master says he has a message for the man who took it.

Francis Larson is the Scout Master for troop 565.  He says around 1:30 Monday morning their white "H and H" trailer was stolen.

"It really saddens my heart," Larson says.

Surveillance video shows a man in coveralls hook it up to a dark colored vehicle and take off with all of the troops camping gear inside.  "All of our tents, all of our cook stoves, all of our patrol boxes are now gone and not just the fact of all the money but the energy of the boys, they really take pride in all their equipment and that's gone," Larson says.

The trailer was parked at Lord Of Love Lutheran church, when the Assistant Scout Master arrived he walked the lot, only to find the trailer and all $10,000 of its continents missing.

"Scout motto is be prepared and I could tell you these boys are prepared and we'll get through it," Larson says.

He says he has just one message for the man who took their gear.  "I would say drum up enough courage to please bring the trailer back.  We've got a lot of boys that are really going to be missing that equipment," Larson says.

45 boy scouts left searching for answers, a troop hoping for a miracle.

The license plate number of the trailer is XJD 979.  If you see it, police urge you to call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP.
