Posted: Updated:

OMAHA (KPTM)- City snowplow drivers spent all day Thursday preparing 4,500 miles of city streets of Winter Storm Q.

City officials said, during the storm, drivers will focus on main roads.

Plows may not get to residential areas until Friday, according to Scott McIntyre with Omaha Public Works.

Omaha officials have declared a snow emergency to begin Friday, February 22nd at midnight.

That means people should park their cars on the even side of the street otherwise they could be ticketed.

Omaha city officials gave out 500 tickets during the last snow emergency in December.
