$50,000 Bond for Nanny Arrested on Charges of Shaking Baby to Death

OMAHA(KPTM)-- Douglas County Sheriff's deputies have arrested an infant's nanny after the baby died from "significant head trauma".

Officials said Sarah A. Cullen, 25, may have shaken 4-month-old Cash Bell hard enough to cause that trauma.

Investigators said Cullen took the baby to the emergency room February 28th at Women's Methodist Hospital. He was in critical condition. He was later flown by helicopter to Children's Hospital.

He died there five days later.

Cullen has been charged with child abuse resulting in death. She is being held on $50,000 bond and will have to pay $5,000 to get out of jail.

She was arrested Thursday night at a friend's house.

If convicted, she could face 20 years to life in prison.
