OMAHA (kptm) - Officials say a home under construction near 19th and Charles caught fire around one this afternoon.
They say just after the first engines arrived, the house collapsed under the weight of the snow.
Firefighters had to be extra cautious as they battled the blaze. "It's a little treacherous, a little slippery out. The guys have had a hard time going around the house cause it's all muddy around there so you're adding all that water in too so we had a couple of guys slip, no one's been injured but just a little messy," Battalion Chief Matt Carmichael says.
He says no one was inside the house. The cause is under investigation.
