Teen Dies Following Thursday Crash

OMAHA (KPTM)- A teen critically injured in a crash Thursday night has died.

19-year-old Jerome Collier was declared brain dead Sunday after spending the weekend on life support.

Police said he was hit by a car while walking  near 45th and J Thursday night. Police said Collier was on his cell phone at the time. Police said the driver of the car, Jaclyn Hascall is being investigated for speeding. Hascall hasn’t been charged.

Collier’s family said they donated Jerome Collier’s organs. The family learned he was going to have a baby in February.

The family has set up a fund to help pay for funeral expenses. People can donate to the funeral home by calling (712) 256-9988.
