OMAHA (KPTM)- Tuesday morning Anthony Garcia made his first court appearance in Omaha after being extradited from Illinois. A judge denied his bond.
He is charged in connection with two double murders. Omaha Police said Garcia stabbed Thomas Hunter and Shirlee Sherman in 2008 and killed Roger and Mary Brumback back in May.
He is charged with four counts of Murder.
Police believe Doctor Brumback and Hunter's father were targeted. Documents show that Brumback and William Hunter dismissed Garcia from the Creighton Pathology Department where they all worked.
A letter was written by Doctor Brumback in September of 2012 saying Garcia was asked to resign or face termination proceedings.
Another letter from 2001 was on behalf of Hunter and Brumback.
The letter detailed an incident where Garcia allegedly caused a student and his wife considerable anxiety and stress by "willfully" calling that student during a "high-stakes" exam.
Garcia was later denied a license to practice medicine in Indiana.
Another document from Indiana's licensing board contained a letter from Garcia who admitted to yelling at a radiology technician in 1999 from a residency program in New York. Garcia later resigned because he says he was treated unfairly.
