OMAHA (KPTM)- Four golf carts were stolen from the Steve Hogan Golf Course early Monday morning.
The carts are valued at $2,500 each according to police reports.
According to reports, the theft happened around 2 o'clock in the morning on Monday, September 2nd.
Richard Green called police after he saw that the carts were gone. "It looked like it was a professional."
Green has worked on the golf course for seventeen years. Green worked with ‘The First Tee of Omaha.' The program helps teach young kids how to golf. "Golf teaches a lot of discipline and it teaches a lot of focus," said Green.
Green said the program helps keep kids off the streets and out of crime.
"We know the kids didn't do it-that was-we know adults did that," said Green.
Green said whoever stole the carts cut the lock, and most likely drove the carts across the course to where a fence was down.
"I hope your smart enough to get rid of the evidence quick because you're going to get caught," said Green.
Green said the course doesn't have security cameras, but that's about to change. "High resolution cameras so they can get a lot of detail and they'll be lots of cameras that can see in the dark."
Green said he'll be watching as well.
