Omaha (KPTM) – Two fire captains return home from Colorado after helping with flood relief.

Captains Chris Langlois and Steve Swan are back in Nebraska after a deployment with the FEMA organized Federal Urban Search and Rescue Nebraska Task Force I.  The two were in Boulder, Colorado with their team of 72.

This isn't the first time they've been called to action.  They were also sent after a tornado hit Moore, Oklahoma last May.

But this trip was different.

"There were rivers and creeks that were involving areas where there hadn't been any before," Langlois said. "And they were going right through residential areas and sweeping houses into creaks…basically creating a new geography."

The deployment lasted a week, September 13-20.
