OMAHA (KPTM)- What started as over 4,000 contestants was cut down to 75. They all got a chance to sing in front of American Idol judges Harry Connick Jr, Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban at the Century Link Center.
"I wasn't expecting this kind of talent, so if it keeps going like this we are going to find a lot of talent in Omaha," said Connick, Jr.
"They might have an okay voice, but collectively, if they are an artist, that's what I'm looking for," added Keith Urban.
"I don't know, there is just an innocence to the mid west that I like. You can feel there is something fresh and exciting," said Jennifer Lopez.
The judges spent the day watching auditions in Omaha for season thirteen of American Idol.
The outcomes of the singing today will be aired on Fox 42 in January.
