Omaha (KPTM) - Friends and family members of Eriana Carr, the teenage girl who was shot and killed a year ago Wednesday, walked through the streets of North Omaha to remember her.
"Just because she touched everyone in a different way I just want them to remember who she was and what she loved. Pink was her favorite color," said Shavon Carr, Eriana's mother.
Nearly 70 people walked with pink balloons and pictures of Eriana who was 16 years old at the time of the murder.
Tracey Parnell, 22, was charged with first degree murder. He is awaiting trial.
