OMAHA (KPTM) - Investigators are trying to track down a pair of thieves police say carjacked an elderly, Korean War veteran last week.

It happened outside of a nursing home while the 83-year-old was on his way to visit his wife.

"It just kind of shocked me," said Donald, the victim in the attack.

FOX 42 News is withholding the man's last name at the family's request.  He said Wednesday he had just pulled into the Brighton Gardens Assisted Living parking lot when two guys suddenly approached him demanding his car keys.  That's when one of the two men pushed him to the ground, took his keys and then took off.

"I rolled on the ground and pretty much hurt my legs," said Donald.

Surveillance video released Wednesday shows two men walking through Von Maur and driving through a Westroads parking lot in the carjacked vehicle.  Police have since recovered the car and it's back with its rightful owner, but the suspects are still on the run.

"Only thing I can say is that's the wrong road to go down for them."

If you have any information about the attackers, you're urged to contact the Omaha Police Department as soon as possible.  Investigators also believe the same suspects shoplifted at Von Maur and made off with merchandise valued at close to $100.
