40 Percent of Nebraskans Failing Written Driving Test

Posted: Updated:

OMAHA (KPTM)- Just how good are the drivers next to you and behind you on metro streets?

The failure rate for test takers on the written portion of the driving test at the DMV is now 40% in Nebraska.

AAA Nebraska said that driving is a very important task and that mistakes can often lead to crashes.

One of the most commonly missed questions deals with the speed limit in residential areas. Test takers that we talked to said that the questions were hard to understand.

People are required to take the written test when going for their first Nebraska license.

Drivers also must also go through the exam again if their Nebraska license has been expired for more than a year.

Here is a link to several questions that are typically asked on the written test.
