Rich Hitz is a Sarpy County attorney who specializes in Nursing Home Negligence, Personal Injury, Wrongful Death and Workers' Compensation. He was born and raised in Lincoln, and graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1999. Mr. Hitz was Chairman of the Client Counseling Board, received the CALI award for Excellence in American Legal History and graduated with the inaugural UNL College of Law - Litigation Skills Track certification. He is admitted to the State and Federal Courts in Nebraska, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. He is a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, the Sarpy County and Omaha Bar Associations, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys.
Mr. Hitz is a veteran of Desert Storm, where he received the Combat Action Ribbon for his service as a United States Navy Corpsman (medic) with a U.S. Marine Corps L.A.I. reconnaissance platoon during the ground offensive that liberated Kuwait City.
